Επιτραπέζιες Ελιές Σακελλαρόπουλου: 1η θέση Over All, στην Ιαπωνία

ΣΠΑΡΤΗ. Ο διεθνής διαγωνισμός OLIVE JAPAN IOOC & ITOC 2026 θεωρείται ο Sommelier διαγωνισμός ελαιολάδου της Ιαπωνίας. Για το 2026, η 15^η έκδοση του πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Kyobashi της Ιαπωνίας, 25 με 31 Μαΐου. Τελείται υπό την αιγίδα του φημισμένου επαγγελματικού οργανισμού γευσιγνωσίας ελαιολάδου της Ιαπωνίας "The Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan" που αριθμεί περισσότερα από 2000 μέλη και έχει ιδρύσει σχολή που ειδικεύεται στο ελαιόλαδο και τις επιτραπέζιες ελιές.

Είναι ένας διαγωνισμός μεγάλου κύρους, από τους μεγαλύτερους στην Ασιατική Ήπειρο, ανήκει στις πρώτες θέσεις της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης ελαιολάδων, τη γνωστή κατάταξη EVOOWR, ενώ βραβεύει τα καλύτερα ελαιόλαδα και επιτραπέζιες ελιές του κόσμου με εξειδικευμένους κριτές - γευσιγνώστες (expert panel tasters).

Ο διεθνής διαγωνισμός της Ιαπωνίας εφαρμόζει πολύ αυστηρά standards αξιολόγησης, βασιζόμενος στις γευσιγνωστικές μεθόδους που ορίζει το Διεθνές Συμβούλιο Ελαιολάδου, αποκλειστικά με την μέθοδο της τυφλής γευσιγνωσίας (blind tasting).

Ο βαθμός δυσκολίας, τα υψηλά standards, η ακεραιότητα και ο επαγγελματισμός του διαγωνισμού φαίνεται από τη τεράστια συμμετοχή από πολλές χώρες όπως Κροατία, Γαλλία, Ελλάδα, Ισραήλ, Ιταλία, Ιαπωνία, Μαρόκο, Πορτογαλία, Ισπανία, Τυνησία, Η.Π.Α., Αργεντινή, Αυστραλία, Ουρουγουάη κ.ά.

Οι βιολογικοί ελαιώνες Σακελλαρόπουλου ανακηρύχθηκαν μεγάλος νικητής – 1^st Place Winner στην Ιαπωνία για το 2026, κατακτώντας την 1^η θέση της γενικής κατάταξης στις επιτραπέζιες ελιές (1^st Place – Premier Winner Over All Table Olives), με τις gourmet επιτραπέζιες ελιές “Portokalenies Gourmet Olives”.

Παράλληλα τιμήθηκαν με 8 χρυσά και 1 ασημένιο βραβείο στους υπόλοιπους κωδικούς επιτραπέζιων βιολογικών και gourmet ελιών τους, πετυχαίνοντας κορυφαίες βαθμολογίες από τους εξειδικευμένους κριτές του διεθνούς διαγωνισμού στο Kyobashi της Ιαπωνίας, ενώ σημείωσαν ένα απόλυτο ποσοστό επιτυχίας του 100 % στις συμμετοχές τους, κάτι το οποίο είναι μοναδικό έως σήμερα στην Ιαπωνία, από Έλληνα ελαιοπαραγωγό.

The international competition OLIVE JAPAN IOOC & ITOC 2026 is considered the Sommelier olive oil competition of Japan. For 2026, its 15th edition, took place in Kyobashi, Japan, from 25 to 31 May. It is conducted under the auspices of the renowned professional olive oil tasting organization "The Olive Oil Sommelier Association of Japan" which has more than 2000 members and has established a school that specializes in olive oil and table olives.

It is a prestigious competition, one of the largest in the Asian continent, placed in the first places of the world ranking of olive oils, the well-known EVOOWR ranking, while it only awards the best olive oils and table olives in the world with its expert panel tasters.

The Japanese competition applies very strict evaluation standards, based on the tasting methods set by the International Olive Council, exclusively with the method of blind tasting.

The degree of difficulty, the high standards, the integrity and the professionalism of the competition is shown by the huge participation of olive oils from many countries such as Croatia, France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, U.S.A., Argentina, Australia, Uruguay etc.

Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were declared the major– 1st Place Winner in Japan for 2026, ranking 1st place in the overall ranking of table olives (1st Place – Premier Winner Over All Table Olives), with the gourmet table olives “Portokalenies Gourmet Olives”.

At the same time, they were honored with 8 gold and 1 silver award in the other types of their organic and gourmet table olives, achieving top scores from the specialized judges of the international competition in Kyobashi, Japan, while they recorded an absolute success rate of 100% in their entries, something that is unique to this day in Japan, for a Greek olive producer.
